When Should You Give Someone Personalized Jewelry?

By Mitchell Horner

Don't let anyone tell you there is a bad occassion to give jewelry in it's personalized form as a gift. Every occassion when jewelry is given embellished with a persons name will be greatfully accepted. A gift of jewelry might be declined if the person had ill feelings toward the gifter. My favorite gift for any occassion is one of a personal nature.

Believe it or not, there are a lot of different occasions during which it is perfectly appropriate to give someone a piece of jewelry that has their name in it or on it. Here are some primo occasions in which personalized accessories are a marvelous idea.

Have you made a huge boo-boo? An optimum way to apologize to someone you've wronged is to give them a simple card with a nice piece of personalized jewelry inside it. The jewelry doesn't need to cost a bunch of money. It can be a simple necklace that has a pendant with the person's first initial on it.

It can be a bracelet you created by using alphabet beads. If you do not think the person would appreciate jewelry, think about personalizing something else: a small plush toy, a coffee mug, even a set of post-its can be a great gift to communicate how sorry you are for your blunder. If you're afraid the person may not like the jewelry, consider personalizing another object: a little plush toy, a coffee cup, even a set of post-its can be a fabulous present for expressing your sorrow for your fax pas.

Christmas is probably the most popular time of year to give embellished gifts. Most major holidays are celebrated by everyone sometime. Even if they do not celebrate a religious holiday they will probably celebrate Hallmark holidays like Valentine's Day. During these occassions personalized gifts are perfect because they stand out from the rest. And because personalization is so affordable now, you aren't limited to just jewelry!

Father's Day is not a traditional day for personalized jewelry. That does not mean that you should ignore the gift option. Men have been known to wear certain types of jewelry from time to time! Simple necklaces that have your husband's name are a good example of a great Father's Day gift.

Don't settle for giving another tie. Choose something personal and deeply meaningful this year! You probably weren't aware that there are so many opportunities to give a person the gift of personalized jewelry. You might not have realized just how often personalized gifts are appropriate!

One gift that will never go out with the tide is personalized gifts. Whether you buy something that already has the gift recipient's name on it or you create something new with the person's name, personalized items are always well received. Nowadays you can put a name or phrase on just about any article you can purchase. Making your own personalized jewelry can bring the cost down significantly.
