What are the Characteristics of a Successful Entrepreneur?

By John P. Young

Jay Kubassek is acknowledged as a successful entrepreneur who has revolutionized the landscape of the internet marketing sector. But what makes an entrepreneur successful? Years have been dedicated to understanding the personality types and characteristics that are common to successful business people. People produce various lists though with more or less similar content. Jerry Kaplan has come up with a briefer and less repetitive enumeration of the finest common qualities of successful entrepreneurs. Jerry Kaplan by the way is a serial entrepreneur and one of the contributors and lecturers of Stanford's Entrepreneurship Corner. According to him the best attributes are:

1. They believe that they can make a difference
2. They have a passion for making things happen. They don't just sit around talking, they go out there are make it happen
3. They have unjustifiable optimism. They believe they can succeed in the face of evidence proving the contrary, he says
4. Tolerance for uncertainty
5. Genuine concern for other people.

Kaplan said that it does not matter what product you come up with as long as you are of the opinion that it can modify even the minutest aspect of our lives. Jay Kubassek strives to help entrepreneurs in reaching their goals of financial freedom. So far CarbonCopyPRO has developed a system that lessens common business errors thereby curbing the learning curves of individuals. It has also established an e-learning center, PRO University, which offers students thorough curricula on every aspect of building and running a successful venture.

Jay overcame a lot of hurdles and defied the mounting odds stacked against him in carrying out his goals. He has his roots in a small community in Ontario, Canada. Having been home schooled, he only had 8th grade education. In his early 20s, he was barely making ends meet with his pay as a muffler salesman. Going into online business was his way of reinforcing his earnings. He sought several opportunities online but to no avail. Due to insufficient assistance and mentoring, Jay struggled. However in order for him to ensure success, he had to take some action. Jay had to rely on himself, his inborn capabilities, and his intense drive. It has been his firm belief that every person has 99% of what is needed to succeed. All it requires is a catalyst to precipitate change. Through his determination, perseverance, and tenacity he made thousands of profits in just a matter of months.

The company he co-founded, CarbonCopyPRO, began as an online forum wherein he and the members discuss their insights, knowledge, and strategies with each other. It has now grown into a $20 million company with various subsidiaries. Members of CCPRO are trained on how critical it is to utilize the potentials of the internet. The online market is a very energetic place. Individuals should not be wary of the changes that spring from developments. They instead should take hold of change and use it to their benefit.

Jay's mission is to make people realize of the choices that they have to change the situations they are in. This vision has also been incorporated in his companies' aims and objectives.
