Landing Page Tips and Tricks

By Ivan Andrianko

Do you know what separates a good landing page design from an ineffective one?

Most Internet marketers' use landing pages consciously, and whether or not you set out to create one, you cannot help but have one.

Any page that introduces your business is a landing page, whether you acknowledge it or not. These first impressions have a very large effect on your overall business that you receive from all the traffic that you obtain.

Since this is the case, why would you not make the most of each visit with a more psychologically effective tactic?

So, the question now is, how would you go about determining what makes your landing page design work?

1st tip is to make the most of your time

People have very short time spans, especially after they have been online for a few hours, which is most likely 90% of your leads. Knowing this you have to make the most of each second that you share together. This means that you need to keep everything as short and simple as possible, while making all your most important points and promoting your service.

2nd tip is about keeping it on topic

You need to zero in on exactly what the consumer wants when searching for keywords related to your service (assuming you are doing PPC, Adsense or Search Engine Marketing). Make sure that everywhere your audience looks reminds them of why they are there.

Next, you make to know how to be direct

When people are browsing online, the best way to approach them is by giving them everything they need to know as fast as possible. Make sure that you provide them everything they need to know as fast as possible.

Create a strong call-to-action

You need to push people to do want you want them to do. Your call-to-action needs to be strong and precise. Tell them exactly what they need to do to sign up to your service. This is how you convert leads into cold hard cash. You might want to feature your CTA several times in your landing page design, appearing somewhere near the opening statements, once again in the middle, and finally at the bottom of the page.

Overall presentation

You want to come off as professional as possible. This means that there is no room for silly grammar mistakes or redundant wording. If your audience does not get the idea that you are the best of the best, they will pick someone else. Make sure that you do everything to make sure that your presentation is spotless and free of mistakes.

Conclusion

There is much more to learn on landing page Design, but these are some solid basics to base your judgements off of. When it comes down to your overall image, a proper lead capture page is a must for any successful Internet marketing campaign.
